About

Pamela Joy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Photography & Cinema from The Ohio State University. She also studied literature and creative writing at the Columbus State Community College. While in Columbus, she volunteered at the Thurber House Literary Center. There she served on the Author Visits Planning Committee, which brought in novelists including Amy Tan, Anne Lamott, and Lawrence Block.

Starting out as a journalist, her writing moved into healthcare and nonprofit communications, and grant writing. Having returned to the Cleveland area, she is currently working on her first novel. Her essay, Tolerance in the Time of the Coronavirus, was published by the University of Akron’s literary journal, Rubbertop Review.

When not writing, she can be found roaming local bookstores, attending writer’s conferences like Literary Cleveland’s Inkubator, or reading cozy mysteries and historical and literary fiction.
